ウェルネスのパイオニア チバソムが2022年の3月に開業した「ZULAL WELLNESS RESORT BY CHIVA-SOM (ズラル・ウェルネスリゾート BY チバソム)」。カタール北部のプライベートな海岸地域に位置し、世界初の現代的なアラブ・イスラム伝統医学（TAIM: TRADITIONAL ARABIC & ISLAMIC MEDICINE）のショーケースを備えた、中東最大のウェルネス・デスティネーション。

LOCATION

Zulal is located on an exclusive coastal position overlooking the Arabian Gulf on the northern tip of Qatar, 1.5 hour drive from the Hamad International Airport and an hour drive from the city centre of Doha. Transfer by helicopter is also available from Hamad International Airport.

TWO SANCTUARIES

Wellness experiences are encapsulated in two sanctuaries, ‘Zulal Serenity Wellness Resort’ for guests who are 16 years of age and above, and the ‘Zulal Discovery Wellness Resort’ for families.

Traditional Arabic & Islamic Medicine follows a holistic path to wellness that embodies traditional healing practices and herbal remedies with lifestyle guidance in nutrition, movement, and rest. Zulal integrates this beautiful ancient philosophy into a contemporary context.

伝統的なアラビア・イスラム医学は、伝統的なヒーリング法とハーブ療法を、栄養、運動、休息といったライフスタイルのガイダンスとともに体現する、ウェルネスへのホリスティックな道筋をたどっています。

CONSULTATIONS

Review of your goals, medical history, and nutritional programme with a Health and Wellness Advisor takes place as you settle in. Consultation ends after selecting the right retreat programme, treatments, and activities, customised for yourself, from the six Zulal wellness pillars: Physiotherapy, Nutrition, Holistic Health, Fitness, Spa, and Aesthetics.

チェックインを済ませた後、ヘルス＆ウェルネス・アドバイザーとのコンサルテーションが行われます（ここでの目標やセラピー・栄養プログラムの確認）。ズラルのウェルネス体験は、ウェルネスの６つの柱である、「スパ」、「フィットネス」、「フィジオセラピー（理学療法）」、「ホリスティックヘルス」、「美容メディスパ」、「⾷餌」の6つの要素から構成されています。ズラルの6つのウェルネスの柱から、自分に合ったリトリートプログラム、トリートメント、アクティビティを選び、コンサルテーションを終了します。

I also had a ‘Dominant Humor’ test, where you find out about your unique element (Earth, Fire, Water,  Wind) - I happened to be a Fire person. According to the doctor, Fire people tends to own a ‘monkey brain’, and have the tendency to think of multiple things at once, hence are often exhausted from over-use of the brain. This was a perfect opportunity to learn to release unnecessary thoughts and relax the mind once and for all..

今回は、4つの要素「地」「水」「火」「風」に基づく「ドミナント ユーモア」のチェックも行っていただきました。身体に熱を取り込んでいるかいないか、基本の性格や行動、又どんな食べ物が向いているか…それぞれの要素で異なるのです。因みに私は「火」だと診断されました。この要素を持つ人は、”モンキーブレイン”とも呼ばれるらしく、一度にいくつものことを同時に考えたり、常に脳内が忙しい人なのだとか。そこで、今回は「脳の休養」「静かなマインド」を目指すことにしました。

Energy Balancing (From 'Mind Body - Wellness')

One of the retreat I personally loved was the ‘Energy Balancing’ Session lead by a Reiki master. An enchanting experience where your energy aligns and become balanced.

A spacious lounge is especially beautiful during the sunset hour.. streaks of sun light dyes the room orange and fills the space with warmth. Various books are available on the giant shelf and displayed on tables for tranquil reads. Tea blends and other refreshments are also a reach away.

Dried Rose bud - perfect as gifts for loved ones and friends.Rose is full of beauty and detox benefits.. People with ‘Fire’ element is said to benefit from drinking boiled rose water in the morning, as it tends to cool the body and release heat out of the body system.
