熱帯林が静かにそびえ立つ、1万㎡の広大な敷地にある、まるで隠れ家のような「ESPA」。そんな英国生まれのラグジュアリースパには、水沿いのプライベート トリートメント ヴィラをはじめ、28のトリートメントルーム、スリープゾーン、バイタリティプールなど、幾つもの癒しの空間が存在します。今回は心と身体を完全にリチャージし、安らぎの時間を過ごせる「ESPA」の紹介です。

OUTDOOR VITALITY POOL AND COLD PLUNGE POOL

Vitality Pool is the best place to start the spa journey. This pool is heated to about 36 – 38 degrees Celsius for optimal comfort with hydro-jets overhead and within.

スパの旅のスターティング・ポイントはこちらの屋外にある「バイタリティプール」。36ー38度のお湯につかり、頭上にあるハイドロ・ジェットは全身の緊張をほぐしてくれます。

It’s recommended that after 10 to 15 minutes, to dip into the Cold Plunge Pool to regulate the body temperature and prevent overheating. This is said to put one’s body in an optimally relaxed state to reap the benefits of the treatments that follow.

10~15分浸かった後、「コールドプランジプール」に移り、身体をクールダウンすることによって、続いて行なわれるトリートメントの効果が増すと言われています。

FOREST ONSEN-STYLE POOLS

Green landscape surrounds you while soaking up in this beautiful Japanese-inspired onsen pools which contain mineralised water at a comfortable 40 – 42 degrees Celsius.

日本の露天風呂をイメージして設計された、温水プール。40 – 42度のお湯につかり、緑広がる丘を見渡しながらゆっくりつくろげます。

ROCK SAUNA

ESPA’s sauna is unique, with an uninterrupted view over the pools and green beyond.

「ロックサウナ」からの、まるで絵のような景色。

CRYSTAL STEAM ROOM

ESPA’s signature Amethyst crystals for balancing and healing are placed here at the exquisite crystal steam room.

「クリスタル スチームルーム」にはヒーリング・バランシング効果のあるアメジストが備えてあります。

ICE FOUNTAIN AND EXPERIENCE SHOWERS

After the heat experience, one is advised to take a handful of ice flakes from the Ice Fountain and place them on pulse points to cool down, refresh and revitalise the heated body. 
Behind the Ice Fountain is a Shower room with tropical rain-like shower or a “hydro massage” with six body jets and an overhead for an additional cool down session.

身体が暖まった後は「アイスファウンテン」へ。かき氷を思わせるフレイク状の氷を手ですくい、身体の脈部位にあててクールダウン。裏側にはハイドロ・マッサージが体験できる「エクスペリエンスシャワー」があります。

SPA TREATMENT ROOMS / SUITES

The facility holds 24 beautifully-appointed treatment rooms which comes with its own shower and choice of music for the perfect experience.

マッサージやフェイシャルなどが行なわれる多機能トリートメントルーム（全24室）にはシャワーが備えられていて、音楽の指定も可能。

In addition, there are two private spa suites for couples and two waterside villa suites with a terrace with amazing urban views. This is a perfect setting for if you like privacy and care to chill by the sea with some gentle breeze.

カップル向けのプライベートスパ・スイートも２つあり、池を囲むビーチ・ヴィラも2棟あります。誰の目も気にせず、そよ風に吹かれながら水辺でリラックスしたい方には最高の場所です。

RECOMMENDED ESPA SIGNATURE TREATMENT

ESPA Signature treatments are personalized to meet the individual needs. The cleansing Hammam ritual to revitalize the body and calm the mind is highly recommended, as it is tailored to melt away the tension of the body and bring in flows of harmonious balance. I personally loved the Aromatherapy Body Treatment. The treatment begins with a gentle feet cleansing, followed by a singing bowl ritual (ritual to purify the negative energy) while lying face down on the bed. An aromatic bowl is placed below the bed and its warm aromatic vapor of tea tree oil rises and helps soothes the breathing. This is as far as I remember, as I was escorted to deep sleep.

1人ひとりに合った治療法をしてくれるESPAのトリートメントの中でも一番おすすめなのが、「クレンジング ハンマム リチュアル」。身体の緊張を全て取り除き、バランスと調和されたエネルギーを取り込んでくれるもの。私が個人的に良かったと思うトリートメントは、「アロマセラピー ボディ トリートメント」でした。シンギングボウル儀式が行なわれたり、ベッドの下（顔の下）にはティーツリーオイル香るアロマボウルが置かれたりと、治療開始とともにリラックス気分に導かれます。

SLEEP ZONE

A perfect hideaway is this place where you are escorted post treatments. There are 18 sleep pods that are designed to relax and allow the body to benefit from the ongoing effects of the treatment. Each comes with built-in music and reading lights.

「スリープゾーン」は、仮眠をしたり、リラックスできるスペース。18個のスリープ ポッドにはリーディングライトも設置されていて、大きな窓からは美しい蓮池が見渡せます。

ZEN STUDIO

This beautifully designed octagonal glass-walled space is referred to as the ‘Zen studio’. Inspirational private sessions including Yoga and Tai Chi is available at the Zen studio with dedicated trainers. As a yoga practitioner, I was extremely excited to be inside this structure, surrounded by stunning landscapes and walls that open to reveal natural views.


素晴らしい景色に囲まれた八角形の「ZENスタジオ」では、ヨガ／ピラティス／メディテーション／太極拳等のレッスンを受けることができます。ヨガをする方にとっては最高の空間です。

GYMNASIUM

This high ceiling spacious gym is equipped with pretty much the latest gear. Technogym cardiovascular and strength machines, as well as a free-weights area is available. Can’t get better for gym lovers.

最新のテクノジム マシン等が備えられたジムスペース。ジム好きにはたまらない場所＋＋

SOCIAL RELAXATION LOUNGE

Here, you can soak up the sun on the sofas and enjoy the post treatment feel while gazing silently at he view of the reflection pool.

トリートメント後等に利用できる「ソーシャル リラクゼーション ルーム」は天井が高く、光差す気もちの良い空間。

FINISHING STUDIO

This is a social area that features 5 manicure stations, 6 pedicure thrones and 4 massage chairs.

ネイルスタジオやマッサージチェアがある、陽気な雰囲気の「フィニッシング スタジオ」。


TANGERINE RESTAURANT

Last but not least, one could also dine at farm-to-table Tangerine restaurant. Subtly Thai flavored,  Celebrity Chef Ian Kittichai uses fresh ingredients sourced from the restaurant’s very own garden and also local farms to provide a healthy dining experience．

タイのセレブシェフが手がけるレストラン「タンジェリン」。地元農場からとれた、新鮮な食材を使ったタイ風料理をいただけます。
