Musky aromatic overtones of ficus trees and the sea-breeze

It was a chilly winter morning veiled in musky aromatic overtones of ficus trees and the sea-breeze. 
Sunlight filled the coffee and the Portuguese tiles on the terrace of Pousada de Coloane. The morning was quiet, saved for the steady breathing of waves and the occasional chirps of magpies in the distance.

Built as a tycoon's private retreat in the 1930s, transitioned into a hotel in the mid-1970s and 
officially started to operate as a Beach Hotel in the year 1977.. Pousada de Coloane treasures a space of tranquility and serenity with 28 rooms, a swimming pool, authentic Portuguese Restaurant and a terrace that accommodates events and a fine dining experience.

10 minutes drive from the Coloane village of Macau, the hotel is a set into the side of a steep wooded hill overlooking Cheoc Van ('Bamboo Bay') beach and surrounds itself with greenery and a breath-taking view of the sea.
