HISTORY IN STYLE ALONG THE STREETS OF OLD TOWN
I love that feeling when you travel through a city that is strange and new - every step you take brings excitement as interesting landscapes unfold at each and every corner.Well, I recently experienced this galvanic state of heart on my trip to Phuket’s old town.
Phuket’s most charming streets exists here.. what I love about this town are the Sino-Portuguese style shophouses on each side of the streets, petit and colourful. Plenty of cafes and restaurants, even some museums and temples to stop by and to wander through peacefully. Although I had to briefly skim through the streets due to limited time, I was lucky enough to find shops with delicious Thai candy bars and chewy candies (for this sweet tooth).
We experienced a traditional lunch and afternoon tea session at one of the oldest residential houses in town, as part of the InterContinental Phuket Resort’s excursion offer.
